Dear Hope Church Friends,
You are part of this congregation during a pivotal time in our history! There are lots of moving pieces as we grow our ministries for children, youth, and adults all while prepping for a move.
Thank you being part of it! -- Jennie

Fundraising & Generosity Group
First Meeting Tomorrow at 12:15 (Right after 11am Worship)
It's time to open the doors for good in our new location. Before we even get to talk about desired cosmetic changes, there are (costly) required fire code upgrades. It’s going to take prayer, communication, and conversation to invite the generosity needed to raise the funds needed to do this. During the month of October, Hope Church is offering an Open the Doors for Good Campaign.

If you’d like to be part of a core group with a one month commitment, meet tomorrow right after the 11am service. Bryan Hinman and Tanner Lack are our co-chairs. Other roles include the prayer team, communication team, celebration team, and gratitude team.

Scripture with Jennie: Mondays from 6-7pm
Weekly During the Academic Year, Starting THIS Monday (Sept 25th)
Come every week, or just when you have time. We’ll start in the Gospel of Luke and go from there!
Our conversations will always include the socio-historic context of the text and translation considerations. We’ll seek to be non-prescriptive, with room for theological deconstruction, good questions, and plenty of space for a difference of opinion. We’ll explore scripture through the lens of centering marginalized voices, too. In other words, fun & robust conversations!
Finding Glimmers When Feels Too Late
In our last Sunday of our Glimmers series, we’ll consider what to do when it feels like things are so awful that it’s too late, and they could never get better. When you have failed such that you feel could not recover. When the situation feels too far gone to be salvageable. And that when God is present.

Welcome Mary – Our New Part-Time Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries
Hope Church has kept a very lean staff structure since pandemic re-opening. And then, this summer we learned through the leadership of Carson Cross how much potential and need exists in ministries with our children and students, a potential that only grows with our upcoming move. You can imagine my excitement when Mary Harsh reached out to me expressing interest in taking the baton to expand these ministries!

Mary has over 25 years of experience in ministries with families, both as a volunteer and on a church staff. She loves creating environments where all have room to thrive and is thrilled to serve a congregation that celebrates absolutely everyone! She is also passionate about providing support and resources with parents and caregivers.

We get to offer that Hope radical hospitality to Mary and her spouse Dave on her first day, tomorrow morning!
